# Voila privacy overview

Voila stores the account information needed to authenticate users and operate
video sharing and review. Uploaded videos, playback information, access
invitations, comments, replies, and requests for changes are handled as part of
the workspace and sharing workflow. Access to a recording follows the owner's
selected permissions and any invitations granted to recipients.

Use owner-only or invited access when a recording contains private work.
Anyone-with-link access is intended for recordings that the owner has chosen to
share broadly. Treat viewing URLs, signed playback URLs, API tokens, and upload
URLs as credentials: do not publish them in logs, source code, or messages
where an unintended recipient could use them.

If you need to review or change access to a recording, use the controls in the
authenticated Voila workspace. Product and account entry points are listed on
the [contact page](/contact) and the [agent guide](/llms.txt).
